Kitesurf Schools Cumbuco

KiteBud Kitesurfing School in Cumbuco teaches to the highest standards and follows the International Kitesurfing Organisation (IKO) guidelines for teaching practices and safety.

Learning to kitesurf with KiteBud is fun, safe and with our huge amount of experience and top quality equipment it’s easy and quick to learn how to fly over the water!

Our teaching location on Cumbuco beach is idyllic for learning to kitesurf, the beach is between 20m and 40m wide (depending on low/high tide) and the sea is always warm. For 9 months of the year, from June to February, the wind is perfect for kitesurfing – blowing 14 to 25 knots, side-shore.

When your first learning we use Cauipe Lagoon, which is a short Beach Buggy ride away - this provides us with totally flat standing depth water to get you up on the board quickly.

We teach a maximum of two students at any one time to ensure that you learn in the most effective, progressive and safe environment.

To learn to kitesurf from scratch the KiteBud Kitesurfing Course Stages 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will get you to an independent level and safe to continue practicing your kitesurfing. Stages 1 through 5 contain 15 hours of training normally spilt over 5 days.

If you’re not sure yet if Kitesurfing is the sport for you – then try out stages 1 and 2, but be warned that you are highly likely to get hooked for life on this amazing sport.

Kitesurfing is a sport that practically anyone of any age, size or shape can undertake and enjoy to whatever level they decide to reach!
